Veneers are the secret to achieving a ‘Hollywood’ smile

When it comes to celebrities, it’s no secret that the majority of them have had a little help achieving their statement styles; especially their teeth. However, here at Queen Street Dental Surgery we don’t think the ‘Hollywood’ smile should only be available to the famous – now it’s your turn to feel fabulous.

If you’ve ever lusted after straighter, whiter teeth, veneers could be the solution. Veneers are typically made from porcelain and are designed to ‘stick’ to the front of your original teeth, providing you with a perfect, natural smile.

Thanks to their ultra-thin appearance, veneers are usually mistaken for real teeth and as a result, can dramatically change the way you look. It’s important to remember that veneers require the same level of upkeep as real teeth, and are prone to the same problems if they are not looked after properly.

Revolutionary advances in dentistry mean that fitting veneers is easier today than ever before. In fact, all you need to do is visit us for a thorough dental examination to discuss your requirements and assess your suitability, have moulds and impressions of your teeth taken, and wait for your new smile to be created by a dental technician.

It generally takes around 4 weeks for veneers to be made up and once they’re ready we’ll call you back into our surgery to have them fitted. Most patients are required to have some enamel on their original teeth filed down to make way for their new smile. Your veneers will then be securely bonded to your teeth using specialist glue and a little heat, before you are ready to leave us looking and feeling amazing.

If you would like more information about veneers, or to book an appointment at our surgery please contact us by calling 01953 602753, or by sending an email to queensdentalreception@outlook.com. For out of hours emergencies please call 07818 266357.
